Faucet Crypto review and guide

Faucet Crypto is one of a number of ways to earn cryptocurrency online. On Faucet Crypto you can earn coins which you can later withdraw as a cyptocurrency of your choice. Note that withdrawal options, as well as exchange rates between coins and various cryptocurrencies, may vary. The forty minute faucet is a good faucet to throw into your crypto-earning rotation among various crypto-earning websites. If you want to see payment proofs, please scroll to near the bottom of this page or see this separate blog post.

Remember to disable any proxies, VPNs, and adblockers while using these Faucet Crypto.  However, malware blockers are probably okay, and you probably do want HTTPS Everywhere for security purposes. For further details on how to configure a browser or browser profile to use with Faucet Crypto and other faucets and crypto-earning sites, see my guide on the subject.

Faucet aka "Main reward"

The easiest way to earn on Faucet Crypto is the faucet, aka the "main reward". As of the time I am updating this, you can claim every 30 minutes, and the claim reward is 17.5 coins every time, plus your bonus. At level 228, I get a 28.5% bonus, which works out to 17.5 + 4.99 coins = 22.49 coins per claim. At level 293, I get a 36.625% bonus, which works out to 17.5 + 6.41 coin = 23.91 coins per claim.

Sometimes, the faucet's user interface is a bit glitchy. Sometimes, when I try to claim from the faucet, it will tell me I am not currently eligible, but the faucet timer will still go back up to 30 minutes. However, at least on the occasions that I checked, my account balance has still increased as expected, indicating that this is a graphical glitch, and that the faucet claim still worked; it simply didn't display the proper messages to tell me that it worked.

Once of the nice things about Faucet Crypto is there is usually no captcha. Even when a captcha does appear, it is fairly easy. There is, however, a countdown.

Also, Faucet Crypto will automatically detect if you are accidentally using a proxy or VPN, and remind you to turn it off, so if you use a VPN and want to make sure you remember to turn it off before claiming from less forgiving websites, you might want to start your claiming rotation with Faucet Crypto, so that it will remind you to turn it off. (However, I strongly recommend making it a habit to verify your VPN is off, if you use one, before every cryptocurrency earning session.) Note that in the past, there has been a bug with the VPN detection. If Faucet Crypto says you are using a VPN, and you verify on other websites that you aren't, try refreshing the page several times.

Daily visit reward

Under Challenges -> Special Challenges, you can claim a daily visit reward of 21 coins, and a second for 16 experience points. Your bonus does not apply to these rewards: they stay 21 coins and 16 experience points. regardless of your level on the site. However, the daily visit reward may change when the site is updated. For example, it used to be 21.88 coins, and before that 29.17 coins, and before that it used to be 35 coins. The screenshots below is are little outdated.

Bonus, levelling, and exp

You can earn a bonus on your Faucet Crypto claims and certain other activities by levelling up. Each level on Faucet Crypto will give you a 0.125% bonus on your claims and other activities. (The first level used to not count, but I think that changed in an update.) So, for example, at level 160, I got a 20% bonus on my claims and other activities. At level 228, I got a 28.5% bonus on my claims and other activities. At level 293, I get a 36.625% bonus.

Each level requires a certain number of experience points, and you earn experience from doing various activities on the site, such as claiming from the faucet, clicking on PTC ads, completing various offers, as well as from claiming certain challenges. Each "task", which includes claiming from the faucet, clicking a PTC ads, and completing a shortlink, gives 10 experience points. For a blog post with a little more detail about the levelling up process on Faucet Crypto, please click here.

The bonus will increase the number of coins you earn from various activities including claiming from the faucet, and clicking on PTC ads. The bonus does not apply to earnings from challenges.

Levelling up to certain milestones, such as  level 50, level 100, level 200, etc. will also allow you to claim rewards from certain challenges for having levelled up.

PTC ads (Paid-to-click advertisements)

PTC ads are another way to earn on Faucet Crypto. These are fairly easy. Most of them seem to be safe for work, but I have occasionally seen PTC ads that were not safe for work on Faucet Crypto. Since I do not see such PTC ads often, I am guessing that they were only approved by mistake. However, if you do not wish to risk seeing content which is not safe for work, you might have to avoid PTC ads, or use Faucet Crypto's chat function to ask other people before clicking on them.

If you click on a lot of PTC ads, be sure to check if there are any challenges you qualify to claim. Currently, the PTC ad challenges appear under "Rotative Challenges" and may vary over time.

Your level bonus applies to what you earn directly from the PTC ads themselves, but not to what you earn from the challenges.

In addition to the coins you earn from each PTC ad, each one will give you 10 experience points, not coining any additional experience points you might get from completing challenges.

Offerwalls

Faucet Crypto includes a number of offerwalls - Wannads, Survey Wall, and Offerdaddy, Mediumpath, Ayetstudios, and Cpxresearch. You may have seen some of these offerwalls on other cryptocurrency earning sites, too. Using these offerwalls, you can do surveys and other activities to earn more coins.

Item drops

As of the an update in late December, various tasks on Faucet Crypto (such as claiming from the faucet, clicking on PTC ads) will occasionally drop items. So far, I've received a number of such items, including a multiplier silver ring, a multiplier gold ring, a drop boost silver ring, a drop boost bracelet, and a commission potion. Of these, the multiplier rings seem to be the most useful. All these items give temporary boosts, once you choose to manually activate them. Faucet Crypto recently added the option to buy and sell these items on a marketplace.

Here's a list of benefits each give, according to their descriptions, which I will update as I find more items. You can also see this blog post and scroll down a bit if you'd like to see screenshots of the official descriptions. There is also a chance that parts of this list may be outdated, but I will try to keep it up to date as best I can.

  • Multiplier Gold Ring (Common) - Reward multiplier boost of 4% for 14 tasks.

Here's an example of me using the boosts from a few of the items to increase my rewards from a shortlink.

Referrals

If you are good at promoting Faucet Crypto to your friends and other people, you can also earn from referrals. Faucet Crypto offers a 20% commission on referrals, though doesn't specify if this is only on their claim rewards, for for other activities too. (In any case, they would still earn 100%, so Faucet Crypto would pay 120%, 100% to them and 20% to you.) Also, there's a warning saying, "The referral commission may be changed without prior notice."

My referral link is:

and I have included it in my review and guide.

Is Faucet Crypto safe for work?

The faucet itself (aka main reward) is safe for work in the sense of being p**n-free. However, I have occasionally seen not safe for work content in the PTC ads. I believe these ads may have been approved accidentally, since I do not normally see not safe for work content there, but it has happened on rare occasion. I have not tested all the offerwalls to see if they are all safe for work. Using Faucet Crypto while at work is probably a bad idea for other reasons - you should probably be focused on your job while at work (then again, maybe you spend a lot of time waiting for customers to walk in) - but there are other reasons someone might ask this, like if they sometimes use the computer while their family is around, or if they have very strong religious, moral, or emotional objections to content that is not generally considered safe for work.

Payment proofs

If you would like to see more Faucet Crypto payment proofs, including more recent ones, please see my blog post, "Faucet Crypto payment proofs". A few things to note about withdrawing from Faucet Crypto:

  • In theory, Faucet Crypto offers a lot of different cryptocurrencies you can withdraw to, but in practice, only some of those are available at any given time. If you have trouble with your cryptocurrency coin of choice being out of stock, try to check at least once a day, if possible, to see if it has been refilled.
  • Faucet Crypto does offer Bitcoin and Ethereum withdrawals, but only for people with Faucetpay accounts, and Faucetpay apparently isn't available to US residents.
  • Since I don't have a Faucetpay account, I withdrew Litecoin and Dash in the screenshots below. Other options I could have chosen include Dogecoin, Ethereum classic, Ravencoin, Syscoin, Tron, Verge, and Horizen.
  • There's a daily withdrawal limit, which can increase as you level up and/or get referrals.
  • Faucet Crypto is somewhat less secure than some of my other favorite faucets and crypto-earning websites. For example, Faucet Crypto did not ask for e-mail confirmation before paying me in either Litecoin or Dash
  • However, the payment occurred very quickly, within minutes. Then again, this might be in large part because I was withdrawing to Litecoin and Dash rather than Bitcoin.
  • The software I use to manage my Litecoin and Dash wallets is Jaxx Liberty.

I have recently received a $5 Amazon gift card from SwagBucks (see my review and guide, which includes info on sign up bonuses, payment proof, as well as earning strategies), but Swagbucks technically awards gift cards rather than cryptocurrency. It may be possible to use the Visa gift cards to buy cryptocurrency, but I haven't tested the Visa gift cards yet.

For a VPN with a browser-only option, meaning you can use it for your non-crypto-earning browser or browsers but not for the browser or browsers you use for claiming from faucets and earning cryptocurrency in other ways, see my Windscribe review. Please remember not to use Windscribe in the browser or browsers you use for earning on Faucet Crypto or other faucets or crypto-earning websites. Windscribe is a VPN. However, it is useful for other purposes, like keeping your politics private from your ISP.
