Qashbits review and guide

For Faucetpay users, Qashbits is a faucet which pays in bitcoin, or more precisely, in satoshi, which are very small fractions of a bitcoin. However, Faucetpay is not available in the United States. I exchanged e-mails with the Qashbits admin and he agree to send me Dash instead (since bitcoin transaction fees are very high lately), and thus I can offer Dash payment proof to show the trustworthiness of the website. However, since the admin cannot process many transactions manually like that, he will be looking at other ways to automate payment options for United States users in the future. In the meantime, I would recommend other United States user avoid signing up at Qashbits until this is sorted out. (The exception would be if you want to use your Qashbits earnings to buy advertising on Qashbits and don't feel the need to withdraw.)

For the record, the error I get when I try to register at Faucetpay is, "FaucetPay is not available to users from the United States of America. If you are using a VPN, please disconnect your VPN to continue." It is possible other countries may also be excluded from Faucetpay, so I recommend testing to see if you can register on Faucetpay before deciding if Qashbits is a good faucet for you.

For Faucetpay users, the minimum withdrawal from Qashbits has recently been increased to 1000 satoshis, due to a recent theft from the faucet. It was previously only 1 satoshi.

Please remember that VPNs are prohibited on Qahsbits, as on almost all cryptocurrency earning websites. If you need help configuring a separate browser or browser profile for use with Qashbits and other cryptocurrency earning websites, please see this guide.

The Faucet

Note: This section may be outdated, and Qashbits claim rates change from time to time.

For people who only claim from faucets a few times a day, or even just once a day, Qashbits is a low paying faucet. At current claim rates, as of the time I am updating this (January 11, 2021), 90% of the time, Qashbits will only award 0.5 satoshi (one half of a satoshi) per claim. There is some randomization which allows you to earn more if you make a high roll, which should happen about 10% of the time. However, more frequent claimers will be able to take advantage of the fact that Qashbits allows claims every 5 minutes to earn much more. So, someone who managed to claim 12 times in an hour would be able to earn 6 satoshi in that hour, even if they were unlucky with rolls all 12 times. Considering that solving captchas takes time, 11 claims in an hour, for a total of 5.5 satoshi (assuming all unlucky rolls), might be a more realistic figure. One strategy that people who often have prolonged claiming sessions might use would be to claim on Qashbits in between claims on other faucets that allow less frequent claims, but a higher amount per claim. The rewards from Qashbits are changed from time to time, based on how well the site is doing in terms of advertising, etc, and based on the price of bitcoin.

The following screenshots are outdated.

The following screenshot shows what Qashbits rewards looked like back in late December.

Paid to Click advertisements (PTC ads)

You can significantly increase your earnings on Qashbits if, in addition to claiming from the faucet, you click on PTC ads. These are quick and the captchas for the PTC ads are very easy (pick the image that isn't like the others). The rewards and the number of seconds you have to view the PTC ad vary.

Coupon Codes in your E-mail

From time to time, the Qashbits admin will send you a coupon code at the e-mail address with with you registered at Qashbits. These coupons are first come first served, and typically worth 50 satoshi, although lately they've been for less, likely because of the rising cost of bitcoin.

Offerwalls

Qashbits offers a number of the offerwalls that you may also see on other cryptocurrency earning websites. However, many of the offerwalls seem not to be available at the moment.

Jobs

Qashbits offers a few jobs you can do, such as promoting Qashbits on twitter, for additional rewards, pending waiting for the site admin to review your proof, of course.

Referrals

Qashbits offers a small referral commission, 8% of your referral's faucet claims. Your referral will still get 100% of the value of their faucet claim, so Qashbits will pay 108%.

And I have included it in this blog post.

Is Qashbits safe for work?

So far as I have seen, Qashbits is safe for work in the sense of being p**n-free. So far, I have never seen any p*** on either the faucet or the PTC ads. Using Qashbits while at work is probably a bad idea for other reasons - you should probably be focused on your job while at work (then again, maybe you spend a lot of time waiting for customers to walk in) - but there are other reasons someone might ask this, like if they sometimes use the computer while their family is around, or if they have very strong religious, moral, or emotional objections to content that is not generally considered safe for work.

For a VPN with a browser-only option, meaning you can use it for your non-crypto-earning browser or browsers but not for the browser or browsers you use for claiming from faucets and earning cryptocurrency in other ways, see my Windscribe review. Please remember not to use Windscribe in the browser or browsers you use for earning on Qashbits or other faucets or crypto-earning websites. Windscribe is a VPN. However, it is useful for other purposes, like keeping your politics private from your ISP.
