Why I DO NOT recommend Golden Mines (golden-mines.org)
Alright, so, with Golden Farm, I tried testing the site out the hard way before someone pointed out to me that, if I had just read the site's Rules, I should be able to tell from there that the site was a scam / ponzi scheme.
With Golden Mines, I decided to save myself some trouble and check the Rules out before testing it the hard way. It looks to be a similar scam / ponzi scheme to Golden Farm, but slightly different. Here's a screenshot of an excerpt of the site's rules.
Alright, so, when a user makes a real money deposit, then they are allowed to later withdraw 30% of that deposit, and certain other people in the referral tree can withdraw 30%, 10%, and 5% respectively. An additional 10% of the deposit amount is divided between all players who were active during the preceding 24 hours. 30%+30%+10%+5%+10%=75%. So, for every dollar the site owners receive, they will only return 75 cents to the players.
It's somewhat ingenious, since it means that people who want to test it without making any deposits, to see if it's legit, will still get a small amount of cash points from the other people who are making real money deposits, and perhaps be tricked into thinking the site is legit and then depositing their own real money.
While in theory, it does look like it's possible to make money off this site by just leeching off the 10% sum divided between all players who were active during the preceding 24 hours, or by referring people but never depositing your own money, I don't think either of these options would be ethical.
